HOSTED AT HONEYBEE HOMESTEAD

MCDONALDS CORNERS, ON

- FULL -

Join Amber Westfall of the Wild Garden, at Honeybee Homestead for an afternoon exploring the ancient practice of distilling herbs to create hydrosols.

In this workshop, participants will participate in the distillation process using a traditional copper still and learn how to make a simple DIY version of a still for at home use.

We will discuss what hydrosols are, and how to work with them safely and store them properly.

We will explore the aromatic phytochemistry of plants and their effects on the body and mind.

Participants will take home their own hydrosol at that end of the day (approx 30 to 50 ml).

The workshop will be hosted in our open-air permanent outdoor shelter under a hardwood forest canopy, surrounded by gardens, fields, and access to modern amenities. Dress for the weather.
