If you’ve ever wanted to try making soap, this course is a great way to start.
— Marcie Tompkins, McDonalds Corners

I’ve been making cold pressed bar soap for the past 15 years. I have taught many people along the way, some continue to make soap at home while others have gone into business. Last winter 70 people attended this course!

The time-tested recipe incorporates our values of using locally available resources for the base of the soap - which is rendered pork lard.

The workshop focuses on the foundations of bar soap making and offers you ways to personalize future batches that ring true to your preferences.

It'll be a small group so you can ask questions and be hands on throughout the entire process.

The beauty of soap making is that it can be done in large batches once or twice a year. It’s great to have on hand - you can use it for personal use and gift it for the holidays or at any time of the year. I don't know about you but handcrafted gifts, feel like gifts from the heart!

I love how my soap turned out, thanks for a very positive experience
— Cindy Egan, Almonte

what past participants have to say…

I was very happy to walk away with an understanding of the foundation of making soap (especially the lye part, which is why I wanted to learn in an in-person setting) and taking some soap home to cut and cure.
— Breanne, @divinecolouracres
Thank you so much for the soap class. I really found it inspiring to try on my own. I’ve recruited a few friends for a group making afternoon in the future.
— Ginny, Kanata
I had a good time with everyone. The course was very well presented, and you did a wonderful job. I can’t wait to try my soap at the beginning of April. We’re making shampoo on Sunday.
